Wind Power Transformers Built for Cyclic Load and Remote Conditions.
Compact, IEC-compliant wind power transformers up to 6.5 MVA, 33 kV — designed for the tower-base or nacelle, and built to operate reliably in wind farm environments where maintenance access is limited and availability cannot be compromised.
Product Overview
Designed for Where the Wind Blows. Not Where It’s Convenient.
Wind power transformers operate in a fundamentally different electrical and mechanical environment from standard distribution or power transformers. They are subject to cyclic loading as wind speed varies, high ambient humidity and temperature differentials, restricted installation space inside or at the base of the turbine tower, and maintenance intervals measured in months rather than weeks.
KLR Wind Power Transformers are designed specifically for these conditions. The thermal, mechanical, and insulation design accounts for the cyclic load profile of wind generation, the sealing requirements of outdoor and tower-base installation, and the compact dimensional envelope that turbine structures demand.
