Generator Transformers. Engineered at the Point of Generation.
Step-up transformers designed specifically for power generation applications — connecting generators to the grid at the correct voltage class, with the reliability and documentation that power plant operators and utilities demand.
From Generator Bus to Grid — Without Compromise.
A generator transformer sits at the most critical electrical interface in a power plant — the point where generation voltage is stepped up to transmission voltage for grid injection. It operates continuously at full load for the duration of every generating cycle. Its failure is not an operational inconvenience — it is a plant outage.
KLR Generator Transformers are custom-engineered to the specific generator rating, power factor, and grid interface voltage of each project. The design accounts for the unique electrical characteristics of generator output — including sub-transient reactance requirements, fault current levels, and the step-up ratio from generator terminal voltage to HV transmission class. Every unit is type-tested, fully documented, and commissioned with direct KLR support.
